We are going to address some recent events which will have a significant impact on the composition of the board of directors. I will now hand over to Mrs. Wan Jiao-Chan, Vice president of Black Crescent Advantage.”
Spokesperson sits down.

Jiao Chan enters from [7] in a flurry of camera flashes
Jiao Chan: “Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you once more for joining us. With grave concern I must announce that yesterday evening, my husband and CEO of Black Crescent Advantage - the Dragon known to you all as Mr. Wan Cai-Lung, has kidnapped my daughter and is now keeping her hostage at an unknown location.”
The audience bursts into chatter
0206 - Reporters 2 (Loud & Cameras)
Jiao Chan: “The police has been informed, and Mr. Wan Cai-Lung is already under criminal investigation. To prevent any damage to our corporation and our shareholders, the supervisory board has immediately removed Mr. Wan Cai-Lung from his position as Chief Executive Officer. Also, effective as of today, I'll be assuming the position of provisional CEO until further notice. We have taken all necessary precautions to ensure that the daily operation of Black Crescent Advantage will NOT be affected. Furthermore I am personally offering a reward of $250,000 for information resulting in the arrest of Mr. Wan Cai-Lung. With that, I'll take your questions, but I ask for your understanding that I will be keeping this as brief as possible. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult situation for me.”

The reporters start talking nervously, everyone's putting their hands up at once.
Spokesperson: “Okay, we'll start with the lady in the first row.”
Reporter 1: “Olivia Chung, Asia Times Online. Mrs. Wan, can you give us any insight as to what might have been the cause of your husband's sudden violent behavior?”
Jiao Chan: “As you all know, I usually avoid discussing my private life in public, but I would like to keep the rumors to a minimum. It has been an open secret that our relationship had been going downhill for quite a while. Last week I decided to draw a line, and told Cai-Lung that I am considering a divorce. He got very upset with me, claiming that I owe my position in this company exclusively to him, demanding me to sign over all my company stocks, resign from my position as vice president, and surrender the custody of my daughter. When I refused, he began threatening me. I hope that answers your question. Next one, please.”
Reporter 2: “Natalie Wong, The Standard. Mrs. Wan, would you be able to shed some light on the rumors about domestic violence that have been floating around lately? Did this play a role in your divorce considerations?”
Jiao Chan: “Definitely yes. I often had to protect my daughter from his fits of rage. I am very afraid of what he might do to her now, I can only hope she is still alive. But the reasons for my decision go beyond this. He has also been engaging in some very questionable deals lately, placing a burden on my conscience which I was no longer willing to carry. I wish I could give you more details, but since we're in the middle of an investigation, I'm not allowed to do that. Next question please.”
Reporter 3: “Jake Young, South China Morning Post. My First question: Do you have any idea what your husband wants to achieve, and did he make any demands yet? And my second question: Will the fact that Yun is not your biological daughter play a role in your release negotiations?”

Jiao Chan: “No please, it's alright, I will answer this. To your first question: No. Cai-Lung has not made any attempts to contact me since his disappearance. So I can only speculate. But I am convinced that he will do everything in his power to discredit me and, ultimately, destroy my life. To your second question: I am a Tiger, and Cai-Lung is a dragon - so obviously having a biological child was not an option. But I love Yun just like any mother loves her daughter. Cai-Lung is a mad man gone out of control, and I can only imagine what happens if I let myself be blackmailed by him. There will be no negotiations. I'm not going to give up without a fight, and I am calling on the public to support me. So please go, and tell them that we must find Cai-Lung and bring him to court, no matter what the cost.
